Our second Masterclass, “Imagine” Re-Imagined, explored the enduring influence of iconic figures in music, art and activism through the rich sounds of Q Concerto Meta. Led by music expert, Dr. and DJ Chi Chung Wong, we reflected on musicians who have shaped the industry and navigated the intersection of art and activism.
Held at KEF Music Gallery Hong Kong, Dr Wong guided members of our myKEF community through the vinyl records of artists like John Lennon, David Bowie and Ryuichi Sakamoto. With the warmth and authenticity that only vinyl can deliver, our audience and Dr Wong examined how music has been used to promote peace, unity and social change, with Lennon’s “Imagine” as a central focus.
When you listen to music, whether it’s Bossa Nova from Brazil, or John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, or a Ryuichi Sakamoto piano performance, it feels the same. It’s a very relaxing moment.”

I think all these great masters: The Beatles, Lennon, Bowie, Sakamoto, all share such immense energy with us.”
